August 2014
April 20th NYS Parks and Recreation marked the channel into Lake Ontario.  The entrance is on the south side.
The buoys have moved due to high water and winds. They have been called to remark the channel.  The current remains strong in the channel, use caution...
Extremely High water and flooding on Sandy Pond - 5 mph recreational boating speed within 600 ' of shorelines to protect already flooded areas.

8/9 Water levels remain high... We need to fight to have a change in this Plan 2014 or we will see the levels remain the same. Which would destroy this area.  Our Congressman have expressed the need to change this plan to the President.  We need more people to contact their Congressman and express their opionion of the Plan 2014, so they can pass along to the President. Please write to Congressman at: Honorable John Katko 13 W.Oneida St, 2nd Floor Oswego, NY 13126-
Congressman Honorable Chris Collins 2813 Wehrle Dr. Suite 13, Williamsville, NY  14221
