8/29 Equipment is getting ready to moved out to site to start dredging.  We will be removing sand on the south side of the channel which is getting really shallow.
When the equipment is out to site, please be respectful of a safe distance from it and respect the speed limit through the channel.

REBUILDING THE BARRIER DUNES ON THE NORTH SIDE. The North Pond Resiliency Committee had a meeting at the Sandy Pond Sportsman's Club to review the plan for rebuilding the barrier dunes. Grants have been applied for and an engineering firm is working on the best placement of sand from the channel and the sand shoal.  More information will be available and published when received.
Check out NY Sea Grant website for the resiliency report.
