It is with great sadness to announce the loss of Christine Reed who was an active advocate for our Association.  She will be greatly missed, as she was a Board member from the start of our grass root organization and actively involved in every fundraiser or financial decision we have been through.

New Business:  Ted Reiter volunteered for the position of Treasurer.  Motion made by Ray Pickering to accept Ted Reiter as Treasurer.  Seconded by John Shook, all in favor.  Motion Passed.

Total in Checking Account $20,224.23.

The SPCMA has had their Checking account with OCNB, then Allicance since we have started.  Recently an organization out there has formed.  The South Pond Channel Maintenance Association, they have the same initials as our association.  After conferring with an Attorney, it was recommended we switch banks. Pathfinder in Lacona is closer.  This will alleviate further confusion with accounts.  The paperwork for appointment of a new Treasurer is here: Motion made by John Shook, to move our checking Account, seconded by Ray Pickering. Any discussion, all in favor, all opposed. Motion passed

Old Business: The check from the previous contractor was received 8/14/08 and deposited, a written receipt was sent to contractor. Amount received $8,350.00

Several of the board members are researching used dredges.  It might be possible for us to purchase one.  The Town of Sandy Creek, has the 15,000.00 set aside. It has been asked if that money could possibly be used for purchase of a dredge, and we can if it is before the end of the year.

Status of Launch Ramp at Groman’s:  The State of NY is currently being assessed.

President will entertain a motion to adjourn.

Motion made to adjourn by John Shook, seconded by Bonnie Reid. Any discussion, all in favor, all opposed. Motion Passed.

Meeting adjourned at 6:45 PM
